I love big cats, so it was easy to decide to create a lion quilt. When I found my inspiration photo knew that I wanted to do it off-center and to capture the majesty of this beautiful animal.

This unique lion art quilt "Kazi" will draw your attention with his staring eyes and engaging expression. I always start creating my animals with the eyes so that the personality of the animal is apparent before I choose the fabrics and colors to use for the rest of the quilt.

It was constructed with high quality cotton fabric and wool batting. I zig-zag around all of the pieces with invisible thread on my sewing machine to get the unique look.

This wall art is framed with a simple black 3/4 inch frame with plexiglass on the front. This protects the quilt from dust and wear. This is a unique, one of a kind art quilt.
