I had a goal to make a quilt of an older person, and when I came across the photo of this beautiful woman I knew I had to create her in fabric. She was fun and only a little exasperating to make!

I created this colorful original art quilt with high quality cotton fabric and wool batting. I always start creating my people with the eyes so that the personality of the person is apparent before I choose the fabrics and colors to use for the rest of the quilt. I zig-zag around all of the pieces with invisible thread to get the unique look and texture.

This 10 in x 12 in wall art is framed with a simple black 3/4 inch frame with plexiglass on the front. This protects the quilt from dust and wear. This is a one-of-a-kind original art.
